MBEI Grenada has an activity coordinator that plans an exciting activity schedule for you each term. By interacting with other students and joining activities, you will make your time at school much more memorable and enriching experience. This is a great opportunity to practice and improve your English while you’re exploring the adventures of Grenada and soaking up the island sun.

Business Hours
Banks are open from 8am to 2pm from Mondays through Thursdays and 8am to 4pm on Fridays. Most supermarkets and shopping centers are usually open from 9am to 7pm while a select few open on Sundays.
Shops generally open from 8am to 4pm on Mondays through Fridays and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. Craft and souvenir shops open on Sundays and Public Holidays when cruise ships are docked. Government offices are generally open from 8am to 4pm on Mondays through Fridays, but may be closed at 1pm for lunch.
It is advised that you check business operating hours of local retailers as some may differ.
Credit Card and Currency
Hotels and car rental companies accept the major credit cards. Travellers cheques are accepted throughout the island. Our local currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar (EC) but the US Dollar is accepted.
Banks will exchange EC$2.67 for US$1.00 cash and EC$2.68 for US$1.00 in travellers cheques. We advise that you exchange currency at banks, as lower exchange rates may not be found elsewhere.
